High alumina castable have a wide range of applications, suitable for heating furnaces, soaking furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, rotary kilns; they can also be used to make large prefabricated blocks and furnace linings.

advantage:

1. The construction water consumption is low, usually 6-7% of the refractory castable, so it has high density and low porosity;

2. It has good volume stability at high temperature. Although it is a non-burning refractory material, the volume shrinks after drying and calcination;

3. Not only has high room temperature curing strength, but also the strength after medium and high temperature treatment does not decrease, and the absolute strength value is 3-5 times that of traditional refractory castables;

4. The amount of cement is low, and the calcium content in the castable is only 1/4-1/3 of the traditional refractory castable. Thus, the amount of low-melting phase in the low-cement castable is reduced, resulting in a significant improvement in high-temperature performance.

shortcoming:

1. High alumina castable should not be stored for too long, as they will fail;

2. This product can only be used in the whole bag, not used up within the allowable range, and cannot be used twice;

3. Do not increase or decrease the amount of water at will, maintain after pouring, and do not heat up the oven too fast.
