Development process of wear-resistant and refractory cement castables
Since the production and process control of cement enterprises have their own characteristics, high-performance wear-resistant, refractory, and castables have developed and improved construction plans to ensure construction quality. and other parts of the refractory properties (ie strength wear resistance, alkali resistance, corrosion resistance). After understanding the damage mechanism of refractory castables for cement kilns, the development and adjustment are carried out from the following aspects.
①Particle gradation of castables. Castable construction depends on the rheological properties of the castable, which in turn depends on the castable particle gradation (ie, the ratio of aggregate to base). At the same time, according to the process requirements of the cement kiln (including process temperature, dust content, etc.), improve the alkali resistance and wear resistance of the castable. Alumite is mainly used as the aggregate, and alumina (а-Al2O3) fine powder, silica fine powder and pure calcium aluminate cement are used as the base material.
②The amount of alumina powder added. The addition of alumina micropowder will greatly improve the high temperature strength and wear resistance of the castable, but the addition of too much alumina micropowder will affect the construction performance of the castable, and will also have a negative impact on the alkali resistance and corrosion resistance of the castable. Therefore, the amount of alumina powder added plays a crucial role in the overall performance of the castable.
③ The amount of pure calcium aluminate cement added. Adding an appropriate amount of pure calcium aluminate castable mud can improve the high temperature service performance of the castable and the low temperature use strength. However, too much addition will affect the construction performance of the castable and shorten the hardening time of the castable. Therefore, the castable pure calcium aluminate cement must be appropriate.
④ Add water during construction. The construction performance of castables is not obtained by simply adding water. Adding too much water will cause the separation of the aggregate and the base material, which will affect the performance of the castable, and also reduce the density, strength, alkali resistance and wear resistance of the castable. Insufficient water addition, poor construction performance, materials cannot flow normally and achieve dense filling, air bubbles cannot be discharged, and tight accumulation cannot be formed, which will also affect the performance of castables. Therefore, controlling the amount of water added during the construction of the castable is very important for the performance of the castable.
