Alumina castable refractory materials

 
High alumina refractory castable materials: It is a kind of low cement castable with a cement content of less than 8%. According to the aluminum content, it can be divided into two types: GL-75 and GL-65. Different from ordinary refractory castables, most of the calcium aluminate cement in the matrix is  replaced by (Elkem) ultrafine powder. A product that meets and exceeds the performance of ordinary cement castables.

 

Its main features are as follows:

 
1. The cement content in the castable is low, that is, the calcium oxide content is low, which reduces the production of low-melting substances in the material, thereby improving the refractoriness, high-temperature strength and slag resistance of the product.
 
2. The stirring water consumption of the castable is only about one-half of the ordinary castable, thus improving the compactness of the castable and reducing the porosity.
 
3. After molding and curing, the generated cement hydrate is less. During heating and baking, there is no large amount of water leakage, which reduces the strength at medium temperature. Instead, as the temperature increases, the material gradually sinters and the strength increases continuously.
